It's fascinating to me how habits impact each other. In the past I've talked about this as "habit harmonics". Sometimes they work well together, like when you feel motivated to exercise AND eat healthy together. But a lot of the times they don't.
Lately I've had huge issues finding time to record. Usually I have a set amount I work before I call it quits for the day. But I've been writing and working a lot lately, and will often come back and keep pushing even after I'm done with my initial set. In these cases I'll continue putting off recording until I'm done with the theoretical span of when I'll work on my writing.
Since I'm pushing things, and want to do as much as possible, that theoretical span is all day. So, my recording become an afterthought.
The last time I really pushed was NaNoWriMo, and I don't remember exactly when I recorded. This has come up several times before. I think in cases like this it might just be good to record after I finish my routine, and then if I do anything more, appending it the next day.
